Céilí in Your Cocoon

This year we may not be able to get to the Céilí Mór, instead, we’ll bring the céilí right into your cocoon.

World renowned Irish Dance teacher, Dearbhla Lennon will be teaching simple céilí dances for you and your family to enjoy in the comfort of your kitchen!

Dearbhla Lennon is one of Ireland’s most celebrated dancers and for over 20 years has been passing on her love and knowledge of dance to students all over the world.

Having hosted The Céilí Mór at Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Festival for almost a decade, she couldn’t simply allow Covid to get in the way of having a ‘jig-fest’ this year. So, for 2021 we will be bringing you “Céilí in your Cocoon”!

Dearbhla and her talented dancing family will give basic instruction on some of the most well-known (and simple!) céilí dances for you to enjoy and have fun with, in the comfort of your own home.

From Shoe the Donkey to the Walls of Limerick there’ll be something for all the family. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have never danced a step in your life- you’ll be sure to have a laugh and get into the spirit with Dearbhla & Clann Uí Lionnáin.

With some great live tunes from the dynamic duo of Aidan Lennon (fiddle) and Kevin Shields (flute), you’ll be dancing ‘round the house’ before you know it.

When you’re all danced out and ready for a break, the Roddy Irish Dance Company will show you how the pros do things with an incredible performance of traditional Irish step dancing.

A bit of craic for all the family, this year’s “Céilí in your Cocoon” is sure to bring life and laughter to your homes this St Patrick’s Day!
